Oh, the aches and pains of getting older. What we should say is “Oh, the aches and pains of declining estrogen!” Our knees, shoulders (hint, it might not be frozen shoulder after all), our wrists – basically, all the parts of our body that have connective tissues.
The less estrogen we have, the weaker those tissues will be. When my patients talk about their health concerns, it’s common for me to hear chronic pain as one of them. Not just waking aches… but the all-over kind of pain we associate with getting older. It doesn’t have to be this way.
You’ve tried vitamins and supplements
You’ve tried salves
You’ve tried heating pads
You’ve tried cooling packs
You’ve even tried expensive chiropractic visits…
Yet nothing seems to be working.
That’s because your doctor (or whoever is playing the healthcare expert in your life) missed the obvious – your hormones. Our hormones decline as we age, and sadly they take our vitality with them. There isn’t a supplement out there that is going to boost your hormones like exercise and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. This isn’t your grandma’s synthetic stuff; this is biologically identical to what YOUR OWN BODY produces – or at least what it used to produce before the menopause monster hit. Is it safe? Yes! In fact, studies are now showing that even women with a history of breast cancer may be candidates after all. Personally, I still proceed with caution in these instances; I go case-by-case. If you are tired of the dull pain, stiffness, and irritating aches for no reason, perhaps we should chat. Can’t raise your arms over your head without an “ouch“? How about getting up off the floor? The things we USED to be able to do with ease now seem like a task we wish to avoid. What about that neck pain, your knees, and what the heck is happening to your ankles/wrists?! It’s all related…say it with me now…ESTROGEN.

Where are you located? Can you prescribe in Washington State?
While I do have patients in both Canada and the US (we operate via telemedicine), I do not have prescribing rights in that state nor do any of my team.
